Care & Use Policy
1 Purpose
This Care & Use Policy explains how customers should use and care for Aeropick products.
It forms part of the Aeropick Terms & Conditions.
Proper use and care help preserve the appearance, finish, stability and performance of the product over time.
2 General Care
Aeropick products should be handled with care and used only for their intended purpose.
Products should be kept in a stable indoor environment and protected from excessive moisture, heat, direct sunlight and abrasive contact.
Customers should avoid placing Aeropick products in areas where they may be exposed to water, excessive humidity, strong temperature variations or prolonged direct sunlight.
3 Cleaning
Aeropick products should be cleaned with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
Customers should not use:
- Abrasive cleaners.
- Solvents.
- Alcohol-based products.
- Chemical cleaning agents.
- Wet cloths.
- Polishing compounds.
Where necessary, dust should be removed gently without applying excessive pressure to the surface.
4 Lacquered Finishes
High-gloss lacquered finishes should be treated with particular care.
To preserve the finish, customers should avoid abrasive materials, sharp objects and repeated contact with rough surfaces.
Minor surface marks may develop over time through normal use. These are consistent with the natural ageing of a high-gloss lacquer finish and do not necessarily indicate a defect.
5 Veneer Finishes
Wood veneer finishes may naturally vary in colour, grain and appearance from one product to another.
These variations are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute defects.
Customers should avoid exposing veneer finishes to excessive moisture, direct sunlight or significant temperature changes.
6 Metal Components
Metal components should be cleaned only with a soft, dry cloth.
Customers should avoid abrasive pads, polishing compounds or chemical cleaners, as these may damage the surface finish.
7 Protective Contact Materials
Aeropick products use protective contact materials selected for their compatibility with standard nitrocellulose lacquer finishes.
Nitrocellulose lacquer finishes that have aged significantly, been refinished, repaired or treated with aftermarket coatings may behave differently from a standard reference finish, and Aeropick cannot verify the condition or composition of an individual instrument's finish. Customers with such instruments should inspect for any reaction before extended contact and may wish to seek independent advice.
Customers should ensure that all contact surfaces remain clean and free from dust, grit or other foreign material before placing an instrument on the product.
Damaged, worn, contaminated or modified contact materials should not be used in contact with an instrument. Customers should periodically inspect contact materials and contact Aeropick if replacement is needed.
8 Intended Use
Aeropick products are designed exclusively to support a single compatible musical instrument in a normal residential indoor environment. They are not furniture, seating, storage or play equipment and are not designed to bear human weight or the weight of any object other than a compatible instrument.
Aeropick products must never be climbed on, stood on, sat on or used to bear any part of a person's weight, by adults or children. Doing so may affect product stability and may result in damage to the product, the instrument, surrounding property or personal injury.
Aeropick products are not toys and are not designed for use by, or in the presence of, unsupervised children. Customers are responsible for ensuring that children do not climb on, pull, play with or otherwise misuse the product. Children should be appropriately supervised whenever they are near the product.
Products should not be used:
- As a step, seat, ladder or climbing surface, by adults or children.
- As a toy or play equipment of any kind.
- As shelving, storage furniture or a display surface for objects.
- To support televisions, loudspeakers, amplifiers, plants, luggage, books or any other household object.
- To support any object other than a single compatible musical instrument, unless expressly stated by Aeropick.
- Outdoors or in humid or wet environments.
Use of an Aeropick product for any purpose other than displaying a compatible instrument, including placing weight, people or unintended objects on the product, constitutes misuse. Misuse may affect the remedies available under applicable consumer protection law.
9 Assembly, Handling & Relocation
Where a product requires assembly, customers should follow the instructions provided by Aeropick.
Customers should not force components into position or use tools other than those recommended in the assembly instructions.
Products should be lifted and moved carefully. Dragging a product across the floor may damage both the product and the floor surface.
Before moving an Aeropick product, any instrument placed on it should first be removed.
Customers should never lift, carry or relocate a product while an instrument remains on it.
10 Product Environment
Aeropick products should be used in a stable indoor environment.
Customers should avoid prolonged exposure to:
- Excessive humidity.
- Excessive dryness.
- Direct heat sources.
- Prolonged direct sunlight.
- Water or liquid spills.
- Rapid temperature changes.
11 Instrument Compatibility
Aeropick products are designed for use with compatible electric, acoustic and bass guitars, as described on the relevant product page.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the instrument is positioned correctly and rests securely on the intended contact points before leaving it unattended.
Customers should verify that the instrument is stable before releasing it.
The stability of an instrument may vary depending on its shape, dimensions, weight distribution, accessories and any modifications made after manufacture.
Customers should never leave an instrument unattended if they believe it has not been positioned securely and should never place any object other than a compatible instrument on the product, as described in Section 6.8.
Customers should periodically verify that all components remain properly assembled and that the product remains stable before each use. If any component appears damaged, loose or excessively worn, the product should not be used until it has been inspected, or the affected component has been replaced.
Damage resulting from a defect in the product itself, including its contact materials, remains subject to the applicable legal guarantees.
Aeropick shall not be responsible for damage or injury resulting from climbing, standing, sitting, incorrect placement, unstable positioning, external impact, use with incompatible instruments, use with objects other than those described in Section 6.8, or any other failure to follow this Care & Use Policy, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
If a customer believes that damage has resulted from a manufacturing defect or a lack of conformity in an Aeropick product, they should discontinue use of the product and contact Aeropick before continuing to use it.
